Pick a particular structure in your target language and design a mini
lesson plan focusing on one grammatical structure in your target language..
Requirements
Include a brief description of the processing problem with that
particular structure, i.e., what are the potential problems for learners
to acquire the structure. For example, when learning noun plural forms in
English, the -s suffix is likely dropped or used in wrong form.
Your plan will include a couple of structured input and output
activities.
For each of the activities, explain the designing rationale, i.e.,
describe what kind of activity it is (c.f. p159, p160, and p175) and which
(of VanPatten's) guidelines are followed (c.f., p154 and p173).
In your lesson plan, don't forget to specify the activity time
(duration) and learning objectives.
Note
You don't need to use the ACTFL lesson plan template. It is sufficient if your lesson plan addresses all the points listed above.
